Barbados is pretty constant in its weather patterns but this September has seen record temperatures and the hottest day recorded. So here is a few tips for keeping cool in the heatwave

  Stay Hydrated
Its the obvious one right? Its amazing how much water we lose in high humidity high heat so think of your normal water intake and double it.

Seek out the Shade ( and the AC )

That Midday sun is hottest between 12 noon and 3pm ( not much cooler at 4pm ) so if you are on the beach make use of that sunshade, take breaks at the bars and advantge of the AC there. Remmeber los of sunscreen and hats to shade you.

Read the Government advisory

Starting late 2025 the Tala community pages and blog - this exciting new aspect is to provide our regular and repeat guests with even more information and insights. Places to visit, comments from other guests, hints and tips, and those ever important discounts and additional services. We have had so much great feedback annd pride ourselves on having a 100% 5 star rating. Thank you all. Yet, there is always more we can do. We are always keen to keep the apartment current and upto an exceptionally high standard, so we have just invested in new LED energy efficient lighting. New water tank and bedding. We take all feedback onboard so additional baking utensils and new glasses ( along with plastic ones for the balcony space) are in place along with upgrades to the main bathroom, Laundry room equipment and a full kitchen repaint and finish. Both bedrooms have AC units and a large fan has been provided for the living space. Wifi is provided throughout and a comprehensive range of TV channels. We have more. in addition to our partnership with Island Baby we have a beach sun tent for you younger guests and soft floor mats to create a safe play area (Please do supervise children though). Chid locks are fitted but are activated only on request so please just ask. Please do let us know if you have any further things you would like to see or have provided and we will certainly explore the art of the possible. Dave and Mary
